IDays 2025

It is an engaging panel discussion featuring diverse voices sharing insights on gender equity, women’s achievements and the ongoing challenges faced across different fields. This interactive session will provide an opportunity to learn from experts, engage in meaningful dialogue and explore ways to advocate for inclusivity and empowerment. Open to all students, faculty and staff! 
The guest panels are Dr. Tanya Manning-Lewis, Assistant Teaching Professor; Dr.Amie Mclean, Intercultural Coordinator; Tess Russell TRU CNSA;  and Joanne Brown, TRU Elder.

This event explores how the HEART (Housing, Employment, Advocacy, Resources, and Training) and STEPP (Support, Transition, Empowerment, Participation, and Progress) programs help women in the region from diverse cultural backgrounds overcome challenges. Additionally, we will discuss the Women’s March as a global movement advocating for women’s rights and gender equality. By addressing international perspectives on gender-based violence, economic empowerment, and social justice, the event aligns with the IDays theme by promoting cross-cultural understanding and global advocacy efforts.
